Directions

  1. 1Place three onions in a baking bag and lightly tap them with a kitchen mallet to peel.
  2. 2Cut the peeled onions in half and then into slices.
  3. 3Transfer the sliced onions to a baking dish.
  4. 4Cut 1 kg of meat into pieces, using two spoons as a size reference for the cut, making sure not to cut all the way through.
  5. 5Season the onions in the dish with 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Mix to combine.
  6. 6In a pan, add oil and 1 tablespoon of butter, then stir until melted.
  7. 7Add the meat to the pan and season with 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt.
  8. 8Once one side of the meat is fried, flip it to fry the other side.
  9. 9Remove the fried meat and place it over the onions in the dish.
  10. 10Pour 2 cups of beer over the meat and onions.
  11. 11In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of mustard, 2 tablespoons of honey, the juice of half a lime, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Whisk to combine.
  12. 12Brush the prepared sauce over the meat.
  13. 13Cover the dish with foil and bake at 356°F (180°C) for 1 hour.
  14. 14Serve the cooked meat and enjoy.
