Directions

  1. 1For Bone Broth Rice, swap water for bone broth when cooking 1.5 cups of white rice with 1.75 cups of bone broth.
  2. 2For Lentil Rice, mix 1.5 cups white rice with a 1/2 cup of lentils and 2 cups of water.
  3. 3For Purple Rice, mix 1.5 cups white rice with 2 tablespoons of black rice and a handful of frozen green peas, then add 1.75 cups of water.
  4. 4If using a rice cooker, rinse and transfer the rice and water/bone broth to your rice cooker and cook on the white rice/glutinous rice setting.
  5. 5If using a stovetop, add the rice and water/bone broth to a pot.
  6. 6Bring the rice and liquid to a boil over medium-high heat.
  7. 7Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. 8Once cooked, let the rice sit with the lid on (heat turned off) for 10 minutes to finish steaming.
