Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and mix well.

In a separate bowl, add peeled and diced apples, cinnamon, and granulated sugar and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, add softened butter and granulated sugar and mix on high speed until light and fluffy.

Add in eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.

Add in all purpose flour, baking powder, and salt and mix well.

Add in whole milk and mix.

Line a 9 x 5 x 2.5 loaf pan with parchment paper. Add half of the cake mixture to the bottom of the pan.

Top with half of the apple mixture and half of the cinnamon brown sugar mixture. Repeat the layers.

Use a butter knife to swirl the batter a few times.

Bake at 350 degrees until a toothpick comes out clean.

In a bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze.

Top the hot fritter cake with the glaze and serve.

1/2 cup whole milk
2-3 tbsp whole milk
1 cup powdered sugar
