Orange Chicken

Directions

  1. 1Dice the chicken thighs.
  2. 2Season the diced chicken with salt and enough corn starch to coat it (about 1/4 cup).
  3. 3Fry the chicken in plenty of oil.
  4. 4Set the fried chicken aside to dry, preferably on a wire rack.
  5. 5Squeeze about 1 cup of fresh orange juice from approximately three or four oranges.
  6. 6Add a little bit of orange zest to the orange juice.
  7. 7Combine the orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, two cloves of garlic, and corn starch in a bowl.
  8. 8Whisk the sauce mixture together.
  9. 9Add the sauce mixture to a pan and cook on medium heat until it starts to thicken up.
  10. 10Once the sauce thickens, add the cooked chicken back into the pan.

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • orange zest

Tips
