Directions

  1. 1Separate egg yolks from the whites.
  2. 2Pour salt onto a tray.
  3. 3Nestle the egg yolks into the salt.
  4. 4Cover the egg yolks with more salt.
  5. 5Leave the tray in the fridge for about a week.
  6. 6Remove the egg yolks from the salt.
  7. 7Wash the yolks lightly.
  8. 8Gently heat the yolks in the oven.

Tips

  • Over time, the salt will draw out the moisture from the yolks, drying them out and intensifying the flavor.
