Directions

  1. 1Place a pot on medium-low heat.
  2. 2Add one cup of coconut sugar to the pot.
  3. 3Cook and stir the sugar until it becomes sticky.
  4. 4Add half a cup of water to the sticky sugar.
  5. 5Turn up the heat a little bit hotter to bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. 6Once it starts to simmer, add some cinnamon sticks, lemon skin, lime skin, orange skin, a dash of coriander, and a dash of nutmeg.
  7. 7Let the mixture simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until it gets thick and all the flavors come together.
  8. 8After 10 minutes, take the pot off the heat.
  9. 9Strain the mixture into a glass jar, making sure no peels or other solids get into your syrup.
  10. 10Add one teaspoon of vanilla to the syrup.
  11. 11Add half a teaspoon of bitters (without red dyes) to the syrup.
  12. 12Let the syrup cool for about 30 minutes.
  13. 13Add ice to a cup.
  14. 14Add one part syrup to three parts sparkling water in the cup with ice.
  15. 15Stir the drink well.

Tips
