Directions

  1. 1Boil water in a pot, add salt, and cook 170g of pasta for 8 minutes.
  2. 2Save 1/3 cup of pasta water and drain the pasta.
  3. 3In a frying pan, add 1 tsp of olive oil, 2 tbsp of minced garlic and 1 diced red onion. Cook until soft.
  4. 4Make space in the pan and add 500g of lean ground beef.
  5. 5Add 1 tsp each of salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, and oregano to the beef and cook until it is browned.
  6. 6Set the cooked beef aside.
  7. 7In the same pan, add 1 cup of tomato sauce, 1 cup of beef broth, and 1 cup of milk. Stir and bring to a boil until the sauce thickens.
  8. 8Add 1/2 cup of low-fat cheese and mix on low heat until melted.
  9. 9Add the cooked pasta and mix well with the sauce.
