Directions

  1. 1Wash the pine needles to remove bugs.
  2. 2Cut the pine needles in half.
  3. 3Place the cut pine needles into a jar.
  4. 4Add four scoops of sugar and a little bit more to the jar.
  5. 5Fill the jar to the top with water.
  6. 6Shake the jar to help the sugar melt.
  7. 7Let the mixture sit for about 3-4 days (or 4-5 days) to ferment.
  8. 8Strain the liquid into a cup to remove the pine needles.
  9. 9Serve and enjoy the carbonated drink.

Tips

  • The sugar ferments with the pine straw, which puts off yeast and creates carbonation.
