French Toast

Directions

  1. 1Begin by brewing some coffee.
  2. 2Once the coffee is ready, pour it into a mug.
  3. 3Trim the crusts off 9 slices of toast.
  4. 4Spread peanut butter evenly over 6 of the trimmed toast slices.
  5. 5Create sandwiches by topping the peanut butter-covered toast with the remaining 3 slices.
  6. 6Cut the sandwiches in half.
  7. 7In a bowl, crack 2 eggs, add 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, 4 tablespoons of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk thoroughly until well combined.
  8. 8Heat a pan on a stove and melt some butter.
  9. 9Dip each toast sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated, then place it in the hot pan.
  10. 10Cook the French toast until golden brown on all sides.
  11. 11Once cooked, remove the French toast from the pan and place them on a plate.
  12. 12In a separate shallow dish, combine sugar and cinnamon.
  13. 13Coat each piece of French toast with the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  14. 14For the coffee peanut butter topping, combine 100 grams of unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon of instant coffee, 4 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  15. 15Spoon a dollop of the coffee peanut butter mixture onto each piece of French toast.
