Ham and Havarti Cheese Sliders

Directions

  1. 1Slice the entire block of rolls in half without separating the rolls.
  2. 2Remove the top half of Hawaiian rolls and set aside.
  3. 3Place the bottom half of rolls in a 9x12 baking pan, lightly greased with butter.
  4. 4Layer each roll with a slice of ham and a half slice of cheese.
  5. 5In a microwavable bowl, cover and heat butter for about 30 seconds or until melted.
  6. 6Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder and poppy seeds into the melted butter.
  7. 7Add the top layer of rolls and brush with the butter-poppy seed mixture.
  8. 8Loosely cover with foil and bake at 350˚ for about 15 minutes.
  9. 9Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and tops of buns are golden brown.

  • 1 package (12 count) Savory Butter Hawaiian Rolls
  • 12 slices black forest ham
  • 6 slices Havarti cheese
  • 4 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.25 teaspoon (optional) Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon (optional) onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Tips

  • Sliders can be prepped ahead of time and refrigerated; store the butter topping separately and brush on right before baking for best results.
  • Sliders can be frozen for up to 4 months; thaw before baking or add extra bake time if baking from frozen.
  • Store leftover sliders in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the microwave or toaster oven.
