Barbecue Pork

Directions

  1. 1Slice the pork butt into pieces about an inch and a half in thickness.
  2. 2Place the sliced pork in a bowl.
  3. 3Add dark soy sauce, soy sauce, a pinch of salt, cooking wine, oyster sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, Chinese five spice, sugar, and chicken bouillon to the pork.
  4. 4Optionally, add a little red food coloring for the traditional Chinese restaurant red color.
  5. 5Mix all the ingredients together, ensuring the pork is well coated.
  6. 6Marinate the pork for at least one hour; overnight is recommended for best results.
  7. 7Lay the marinated pork on the air fryer rack.
  8. 8Place the rack with pork into the air fryer.
  9. 9Cook in the air fryer for 10 minutes.
  10. 10After 10 minutes, remove the pork from the air fryer and flip each piece to ensure even cooking and prevent burning due to the sugar content.
  11. 11Return the pork to the air fryer and cook for another 10 minutes.
  12. 12After the second 10-minute cooking period, remove and flip the pork again.
  13. 13Continue cooking in 10-minute intervals, flipping as needed, until the barbecue pork is ready.
