Directions

  1. 1In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of corn syrup, and ½ cup of evaporated milk.
  2. 2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 210°F.
  3. 3Add 2 cups of toasted pecans and 3 tablespoons of butter.
  4. 4Continue stirring until the mixture reaches 230°F.
  5. 5Remove from heat, remove thermometer, and beat vigorously for about 2 seconds.
  6. 6Using two spoons, drop the mixture onto parchment paper to form pralines.
  7. 7Let the pralines cool and set for about an hour.
