Toss a pound of seasoned ground beef into your pot and break it up to brown it.
Add one diced onion and stir.
Cook until there's no more pink in the beef and the onion is soft.
Remove excess grease.
Add two minced garlic cloves and stir well.
Add three tablespoons of butter.
Once the butter is melted, sprinkle in three tablespoons of flour and incorporate.
Add two and a half cups of beef broth slowly while stirring.
Scrape all the goodness off the bottom of the pot.
Bring to a boil.
Add about three-quarters of a cup of sour cream, a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, a tablespoon of your favorite mustard, and a cup of frozen peas.
Add a cup of freshly shredded cheddar cheese and stir really well.
Let it simmer on low while you cook eight ounces of egg noodles.
Drain the noodles, add them to the pot, and stir.
Add one more cup of freshly shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Put the lid on just long enough to get the cheese to melt.
