  8. 8Pour the mixture onto the pan and spread it out evenly.
  9. 9Bake the mixture at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
  10. 10While baking, prepare the topping by mixing about a cup of sugar, two teaspoons of cinnamon, and about a teaspoon of salt.
  11. 11Let the baked crackers cool off for about five minutes to firm up the coating.
  12. 12Transfer the snack mix to a large tray or bowl for serving.
  13. 13Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mix over the top of the snack mix.
  14. 14Mix everything together until every piece is coated and to prevent sticking.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups salted butter
  • 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 bags oyster crackers
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Equipment

large pottin foil lined panbaking sheetlarge bowl

Tips

  • Line the pan with foil completely as the mixture is hard to scrape off.
  • Let the caramel coating cool for about 5 minutes so it's not super liquidy when poured on.
  • Mixing in a tray helps prevent the snack mix from sticking together.
