Directions

  1. 1Coat beef back ribs with a layer of Japanese barbecue sauce.
  2. 2Sprinkle on a little MSG.
  3. 3Season with salt, pepper and garlic.
  4. 4Add freshly cracked black pepper.
  5. 5Fire up smoker to 250°.
  6. 6Place ribs directly on the grates and let them smoke for 3-4 hours until bark is barkin'.
  7. 7Lay down butcher paper, pull ribs off and coat them in more Japanese barbecue sauce.
  8. 8Wrap them tightly and throw them back on the smoker for another 2-3 hours until they get over 200° internal.
  9. 9Let them rest for at least an hour.
  10. 10Unwrap, brush on the rest of the sauce, finish with sesame seeds and slice between bones.
  11. 11Add green onions.
