Bob's Big Boy Copycat Strawberry Pie

Directions

  1. 1Grab a frozen pie crust, thaw it, poke holes in it, and then throw it in the oven per the instructions.
  2. 2While the pie crust cooks and cools, grab a saucepan and add 3/4 of a cup of sugar and three tablespoons of cornstarch.
  3. 3Whisk the sugar and cornstarch together quickly.
  4. 4Add 1 cup of Seven Up and half a cup of tap water to the saucepan.
  5. 5Whisk all ingredients until combined, then bring it to a boil, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves and it thickens.
  6. 6Add one box of strawberry Jell-O mix and whisk until it's dissolved and a beautiful red, then set it aside to cool.
  7. 7Take the cooked and cooled pie crust and the destemmed, washed, and halved strawberries.
  8. 8Pour the strawberries into the pie crust and pack them in nicely.
  9. 9Once your Jell-O mixture has cooled off for about 5 minutes, pour it all over the strawberries in the pie crust.
  10. 10Put the pie in the fridge for a few hours until it's fully set.
  11. 11Cut out a piece of the set pie and serve on a plate.
  12. 12Add some whipped cream if desired.

  • 1 box strawberry Jell-O mix
  • strawberries, destemmed, washed, and cut in half

Tips
