Crock Pot Garlic Lemon Chicken

Directions

  1. 1Line the bottom of your crock pot with chicken thighs.
  2. 2Season the chicken thighs liberally with garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. 3Sprinkle parsley on the chicken thighs if you have it.
  4. 4Add about a tablespoon of chicken bouillon and spread it out evenly.
  5. 5Mince three or four garlic cloves and sprinkle them on top of the chicken.
  6. 6Zest a lemon all over the top of your chicken thighs.
  7. 7Slice the lemon and put a piece on each chicken thigh.
  8. 8Slice a stick of butter and drop it on top of the chicken.
  9. 9Pour two cups of chicken stock into the crock pot.
  10. 10Put the lid on the crock pot and set it to low for six hours or high for half that.
  11. 11When the chicken is done, take the lid off.
  12. 12Check if the chicken falls apart easily with a fork to ensure it's cooked.
  13. 13Get a bowl with some rice in it.
  14. 14Serve the chicken on top of the rice.
  15. 15Add some of the garlic lemon sauce from the crock pot if you like it saucy.
  16. 16Garnish with more parsley if desired.

  • 1 lemon zest
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1 stick of butter sliced
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • rice

Tips

  • You could add salt but I didn't since I'm adding chicken bouillon and that has salt in it.
  • If you like it saucy, add some of the garlic lemon sauce from the crock pot.
  • If it just falls apart with a fork, it's done.
