Add cocoa powder, sugar, and water to a pot.

Mix the ingredients well.

Add a pinch of salt.

Mix again and bring the mixture to a boil.

Once it starts boiling, let it boil for about four minutes.

Remove it from the heat once four minutes is up.

Add a splash of vanilla.

Mix it again.

Let the chocolate syrup cool off.

Pour the cooled chocolate syrup into a jar.

Tips
Store homemade chocolate syrup in the refrigerator for about two to three weeks.
The syrup will thicken more as it cools.
