Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bake the hazelnuts for 7-9 minutes or until they start to brown.

If the hazelnuts are not already peeled, rub them together in a paper towel to remove the skins.

In a high-speed blender, blend the hazelnuts until they turn into butter.

Add the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender.

Blend for a few more minutes until well incorporated.

Add the coconut oil and blend once more.

Pour the homemade Nutella into a jar.

Tips
This homemade Nutella is shelf-stable and does not need to be refrigerated, but refrigerating it will thicken its consistency.
It can last at room temperature for two weeks in a cold environment, or up to two months in the refrigerator.
