Smoked Country Style Ribs

Directions

  1. 1Place country style ribs in a bowl or prep tub.
  2. 2Coat with mustard as a binder.
  3. 3Season with your favorite barbecue rub.
  4. 4Turn on your smoker to 250 degrees.
  5. 5Place the ribs on the smoker for 3 hours.
  6. 6Transfer the ribs to an aluminum pan.
  7. 7Sprinkle on a little bit of brown sugar.
  8. 8Add a few pats of butter.
  9. 9Drizzle on your favorite barbecue sauce.
  10. 10Add red pepper flakes for spice.
  11. 11Wrap the pan in foil and place it back on the smoker.
  12. 12Cook for another hour and a half to two hours until probe tender.
  13. 13Let the ribs rest, then dig in.

Tips

  • Country-style ribs aren't ribs at all, but they’re tender, affordable & delicious.
  • They come from the pork shoulder and can be boneless or bone-in.
  • Smoke them the same way you smoke your pork butts.
