Homemade Seasoning Salt

Directions

  1. 1Gather all the ingredients and equipment: a funnel, a mason jar with a lid, some labels, a whisk, and the spices.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of regular table salt, 2 teaspoons of freshly ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 and a half teaspoons of onion powder, 3/4 teaspoon of regular granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of ground mustard, 1/4 teaspoon of celery seed, 1/8 teaspoon of cornstarch, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground red pepper.
  3. 3Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly with a whisk.
  4. 4Using a funnel, transfer the homemade seasoning salt into a clean mason jar.
  5. 5Put the lid on the jar and apply a label with the name "Seasoning Salt" and the date it was made.
  6. 6Store the jar in a dark and cool kitchen cupboard, ensuring the lid is tight.

Tips
