Add lean ground beef, diced onions, pizza sauce, and seasonings to the slow cooker.

Mix all ingredients together.

Top with chopped turkey pepperoni.

Cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 3-4 hours.

Once cooked, break apart the meat.

Add half-cooked pasta (shells recommended) and give it a quick mix.

Pour over the blended high protein cheese sauce (made from cottage cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, milk, salt, and pepper).

Cover and let it finish cooking for about 15 to 20 minutes.

While the mac and cheese cooks, make crispy prosciutto topping by tossing 6-7 slices of prosciutto straight into the oven.

Bake prosciutto at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes until perfectly crispy.

Break the crispy prosciutto apart into small pieces and crumble over the top of the mac and cheese.
