Cold Brew Coffee

Directions

  1. 1Get a nice clean jar.
  2. 2Add one and a half cups of coarse coffee into the jar.
  3. 3Pour four cups of water into the jar.
  4. 4Seal the jar and give it a couple of shakes.
  5. 5Steep the coffee in the refrigerator or on the counter for at least 18 hours, preferably 18-20 hours.
  6. 6After steeping, get a mesh strainer and line it with a cheesecloth over a clean jar.
  7. 7Strain the coffee to separate the liquid from the coffee grounds.
  8. 8Remove as much liquid as possible from the coffee grounds.
  9. 9Compost the used coffee grounds, use them in your garden, or put them in your house plants.
  10. 10Serve the cold brew, and if desired, dilute with water per glass to your preferred strength.
  11. 11Optionally, top with vanilla sweet cream cold foam.

Tips

  • Use your favorite coffee.
  • Steep for at least 18 hours, preferably 18-20 hours.
  • Do not put coffee grounds down your garbage disposal; compost them or use them in your garden/house plants.
  • If the coffee is too strong, dilute individual servings with water rather than diluting the entire batch.
