Garlic Steak Bites & Cajun Mac N Cheese

Directions

  1. 1Slice your steaks into cubes.
  2. 2Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, parsley, chili powder, and olive oil.
  3. 3Mix so the color changes.
  4. 4Cook the steak bites in light butter for three minutes on each side till golden and crispy.
  5. 5Add more light butter, minced garlic, and fresh parsley.
  6. 6Give it all a good mix, then set the beef aside.
  7. 7Add low-fat milk, light cream cheese, light cheddar, and mozzarella.
  8. 8Add the Cajun seasoning mix.
  9. 9Stir till the cheese melts.
  10. 10Add your cooked macaroni.
  11. 11Give it all a good mix.
  12. 12Distribute into four equal servings.

  • 800 g Raw Topside/Top Round Beef Steak cut into cubes
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Parsley
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil
  • 40 g Light Butter
  • 280 ml Low Fat Milk
  • 150 g Light Cream Cheese
  • 35 g Light Cheddar
  • 35 g Shredded Mozzarella
  • 200 g Uncooked Macaroni
  • 450 g Cooked Macaroni
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder or Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1 tsp Oregano

Tips

  • Marinate the steak overnight for better flavor
  • When cooking the steak, make sure the heat is medium high heat. Cook for 3-4 mins each side to get a nice sear
  • Lower the heat slightly when adding extra butter, minced garlic and parsley. Mix for 1-2 mins then remove from the heat
  • Make sure the heat is on low when making the cheese sauce. Stir till creamy and the cheese is stringy then turn off the heat and add the macaroni
