Directions
- 1Peel the onion.
- 2Slice the onion into rings.
- 3Cook the hot dogs in a pan until browned.
- 4Remove hot dogs from the pan.
- 5Slice the cheese.
- 6Spread mustard on the hot dogs.
- 7Place sliced onions in the pan and cook until caramelized.
- 8Spread caramelized onions on the puff pastry.
- 9Place the mustard-coated hot dogs on top of the onions and puff pastry.
- 10Roll the puff pastry around the hot dogs and onions.
- 11Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and chill.
- 12Whisk an egg in a bowl.
- 13Brush the egg wash over the puff pastry roll.
- 14Score the top of the puff pastry roll with a knife.
- 15Season with salt and pepper.
- 16Bake in the oven until golden brown.
- 17Serve and garnish with ketchup and mustard.
