1Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place the pie dough into a pie tin.
2In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the half and half, apple butter, sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger until smooth.
3Pour the filling into the pie crust and smooth the top.
4Bake for 45-55 minutes or until the center is just set and a knife inserted near the middle comes out mostly clean. Cover the edges of the pie crust if browning too quickly.
5Cool the pie completely on a wire rack, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
6For the topping, whip the cold heavy cream with powdered sugar and cinnamon until soft peaks form.
7Slice the chilled pie and serve each piece with a generous dollop of cinnamon whipped topping.
