Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza

Directions

  1. 1Season the chicken pieces with Nashville hot seasoning, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  2. 2In a shallow bowl, add the all-purpose flour.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with 2 tbsp of Nashville hot seasoning.
  4. 4In another bowl, whisk 3 eggs.
  5. 5Dip each piece of seasoned chicken into the flour first, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the panko mixture.
  6. 6Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to ensure a solid coating.
  7. 7Place the breaded chicken on a wire rack and let it rest while preheating the oil.
  8. 8Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  9. 9Carefully place the breaded chicken into the hot oil and fry for about 3-5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
  10. 10Once done, remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  11. 11Allow the chicken to rest for 3 minutes before cutting it into 1/2-inch pieces.
  12. 12In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of frying oil with 3 tbsp of Nashville hot seasoning.
  13. 13Stir well to incorporate the seasoning into the oil.
  14. 14In another bowl, mix 1.5 cups of mayonnaise with 1/4 cup of pickle juice and 3 tbsp of Nashville hot seasoning.
  15. 15Stir until smooth and well combined.
  16. 16Set aside the spicy mayo.
  17. 17Preheat your pizza oven on high.
  18. 18Place the pizza dough in the oven and cook for 90 seconds, allowing it to firm up.
  19. 19Remove from the oven and set aside the par-baked dough.
  20. 20Spread the spicy mayo evenly over the par-baked dough, ensuring full coverage.
  21. 21Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese across the top.
  22. 22Add the fried chicken pieces and sliced pickles evenly.
  23. 23Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 90 seconds, or until the crust is golden brown, and the cheese is bubbling.
  24. 24Once the pizza is out of the oven, drizzle it with hot honey and the prepared Nashville hot sauce for an extra layer of heat and sweetness.
  25. 25Slice it up and serve immediately.
