Honey BBQ Tenders

Directions

  1. 1Hit the tenders with a handful of flour.
  2. 2Add seasoning: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  3. 3Mix and allow tenders to dry out.
  4. 4Add cornstarch and baking powder to the flour mixture.
  5. 5Add the same seasoning as before.
  6. 6Transfer one third of the mixture to another bowl.
  7. 7Crack open a can of club soda and add to the mixture.
  8. 8Mix until it resembles a thin pancake batter consistency.
  9. 9Dip the dry tenders into the wet batter, then into the dry, and again into the wet batter, finishing with the dry.
  10. 10Make the honey barbecue sauce: Add ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and honey to a pan and stir.
  11. 11Add cubes of cold butter to make the sauce smooth.
  12. 12Drop the tenders into oil at 350°F and fry for 5-6 minutes.
  13. 13Allow them to rest and then fry for one more minute to get them golden.
  14. 14Dip in ranch dressing and enjoy!
