Hash Brown Casserole (Funeral Potatoes)
Directions
- 1Dice half an onion and 3-4 cloves of garlic.
- 2Sauté the diced onion and garlic in a frying pan with butter until softened.
- 3In a bowl, combine shredded hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar and muenster cheese, and the sautéed onion and garlic.
- 4Season with salt, pepper and cayenne to taste.
- 5Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake at 375°F for about an hour.
- 6Add some extra cheese during the last few minutes of baking.
