Add one cup of white sugar to a large bowl.

Add six tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the bowl.

Mix the sugar and flour together.

Add a 20-ounce can of drained pineapple chunks, keeping the juice, to the mixture.

Add about two cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese to the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients together.

Add a few tablespoons of the saved pineapple juice to the mixture, just enough for it to stick together without any dry flour or sugar.

Melt one stick of salted butter in the microwave.

Grease a casserole dish with butter paper.

Pour the pineapple mixture into the casserole dish.

Crush one sleeve of Ritz crackers and add them to the melted butter.

Mix the crackers and butter together.

Spread the cracker mixture over the top of the pineapple casserole.

Bake the casserole in an oven preheated to 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about half an hour.

Tips
Use salted butter because crackers are going to be added on top.
Put the casserole under the broiler for the last couple of minutes to make it nice and brown.
