Directions

  1. 1Welcome to 30 Minute Meals, where I show you recipes that take less than 30 minutes to make.
  2. 2Today we're going to be making pork belly with stir-fried kimchi.
  3. 3Start by seasoning pork belly with salt on both sides, then searing it in a lightly oiled pan.
  4. 4Once both sides are lightly golden brown, you can use scissors to cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  5. 5Cook the pork belly until some of the fat is rendered out and it's cooked to your liking. For me, I like mine extra crispy.
  6. 6Move the pork belly to the side and fry some whole garlic cloves in the pork fat until it's nice and golden brown on all sides.
  7. 7Remove the fried garlic and the pork belly and drain out most of the fat.
  8. 8Sauté the kimchi in the same pan for a few minutes until it's soft and translucent, then serve it with the pork belly and garlic.
  9. 9Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and eat it with some sauces like Samjang and sesame oil with flaky salt, but honestly, eat it however you like.
