Directions
- 1Boil flour and water in a pot to create a sticky dough.
- 2Add flour, water, and butter to a mixing bowl and knead with a mixer.
- 3Punch down the dough after it has risen.
- 4Fold the dough.
- 5Place the folded dough into a baking pan.
- 6Bake the dough in the oven until golden brown.
- 7Remove the bread from the oven.
- 8Scrape the vanilla bean into a pot.
- 9Add salt and milk to the pot with the vanilla bean and stir.
- 10Toast milk powder in a sieve over a pan.
- 11Separate egg yolks into a bowl.
- 12Add browned sugar to the egg yolks and mix.
- 13Add milk from the pot to the egg yolk mixture and mix.
- 14Add the mixture back to the pot and stir.
- 15Strain the mixture into a bowl over ice.
- 16Pour the mixture into an ice cream machine.
- 17Scoop out the finished ice cream.
- 18Dice apples into a pot.
- 19Add white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon to the apples.
- 20Add oil and butter to the apples.
- 21Add liquid to the apples and stir.
- 22Add cornstarch slurry to the apples and stir until thickened.
- 23Cut the milk bread into thick slices.
- 24Dip bread slices into the milk, egg, and vanilla bean mixture.
- 25Fry the soaked bread slices in a pan until golden brown.
- 26Stack two pieces of French toast on a plate.
- 27Top with apple crumble.
- 28Add a scoop of ice cream on top.
- 29Sprinkle with crumble.
- 30Drizzle with caramel sauce.
- 31Serve and enjoy.
