Chocolate Chip Cookies

Directions
- 1Place one stick of butter in a mixing bowl.
- 2Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar to the bowl with the butter.
- 3Whisk together the butter and sugars until well combined and creamy.
- 4Crack one egg into the mixture.
- 5Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the mixture.
- 6Whisk until the egg and vanilla are fully incorporated into the butter and sugar mixture.
- 7Add 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/2 tsp of baking soda to the wet mixture.
- 8Mix in the salt and baking soda.
- 9Gradually add 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour to the bowl.
- 10Fold the flour into the wet ingredients using a spatula until a dough forms.
- 11Add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of chocolate chunks to the dough.
- 12Fold the chocolate chips and chunks into the dough until evenly distributed.
- 13Roll the cookie dough into a log shape and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap.
- 14Place the wrapped cookie dough log into the freezer to chill.
- 15Once ready to bake, slice the chilled cookie dough into individual cookies.
- 16Place the cookie dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 17Bake the cookies until golden brown and cooked through.
- 18Enjoy your freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
