Directions

  1. 1Combine water, piloncillo, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise in a Dutch oven or pot and bring to a simmer.
  2. 2Stir the mixture to help the piloncillo dissolve.
  3. 3Add the ground coffee to the simmering liquid.
  4. 4Steep the coffee for 6 minutes for regular strength or 8 minutes for extra-strength.
  5. 5Strain the coffee and serve.

Tips
