Lemon Ginger Turmeric Wellness Shots

Directions

  1. 1If using a juicer, add orange, lemon, turmeric, and ginger to the juicer (peel orange and lemon if recommended by your juicer).
  2. 2If using a blender, add turmeric and ginger to a high-speed or small blender (like a Nutribullet).
  3. 3Add the juice of the orange and lemons to the blender to help the mixture blend easier and remove pulp/rind.
  4. 4Blend on high for 30 seconds.
  5. 5Add a little water if the mixture has trouble blending, though it shouldn't be necessary.
  6. 6Strain the blended mixture through a clean thin dish towel, small fine mesh strainer, or nut milk bag.
  7. 7Divide the strained juice between serving glasses and enjoy.
  8. 8For maximum benefits, top with fresh cracked black pepper immediately.
  9. 9Consider adding a little fat, such as olive oil, to improve turmeric absorption.
  10. 10Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  11. 11Compost leftover pulp or freeze it into an ice cube tray to add to future smoothies or refrigerate for tonics.
