Add ground beef and diced, sautéed onion to the bowl.

Mix all ingredients in the bowl by hand until well combined.

Plop the mixture onto a baking sheet and form it into a shorter, wider loaf.

Drop a crescent roll sheet over the meatloaf, covering it completely.

Seal any rips in the dough and fold in the edges, cleaning up the sides.

Brush an egg wash over the crescent roll dough.
