Chili Crisp Smoked Wings

Directions

  1. 1Take the tips off the chicken wings and dry them thoroughly.
  2. 2Apply a little oil to the wings.
  3. 3Season the wings with AP seasoning on both sides.
  4. 4Let the wings sit while firing up the pellet grill to 400 degrees F.
  5. 5Place the seasoned wings on the preheated grill.
  6. 6Cook the wings for about 30 minutes on one side.
  7. 7Flip the wings and cook for another 15 minutes or so, until they reach an internal temperature of 195-200 degrees F.
  8. 8While wings are cooking, prepare the sauce by combining 1/2 cup chili crisp, 1/2 cup honey, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, a little rice wine vinegar, 1 1/2 tablespoons sriracha, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil.
  9. 9Stir to combine the sauce ingredients.
  10. 10Microwave the sauce for 2 minutes to melt the honey.
  11. 11Melt 1 tablespoon of butter directly into the sauce.
  12. 12Once the wings are cooked (approximately 55 minutes total), remove them from the grill.
  13. 13Add four or five wings at a time to a bowl.
  14. 14Drizzle the prepared wing sauce over the wings in the bowl.
  15. 15Toss the wings in the bowl with the sauce until evenly coated.
  16. 16Garnish the wings with fine chopped cilantro and toasted sesame seeds.

Tips

  • To get crispy skin, use a little oil on the wings before cooking.
