Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli

Directions

  1. 1Cook peppers and onions in some butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. 2Season them up and cook them for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Remove peppers and onions from the pan.
  4. 4Chop up a package of steak-ums.
  5. 5Add steak-ums to the pan and season with your favorite steak seasoning.
  6. 6Drain the grease from the cooked steak-ums.
  7. 7Add the cooked peppers and onions back into the pan with the steak-ums and let it cool down.
  8. 8Spread a pizza crust onto a piece of parchment paper.
  9. 9Add 12 slices of provolone cheese onto the pizza crust.
  10. 10Spread out the meat mixture, leaving a little room at the edges.
  11. 11Top with 8 ounces of shredded mozzarella.
  12. 12Roll the stromboli slowly, using the parchment paper to guide you.
  13. 13Pinch the seams and ends together to seal the stromboli.
  14. 14Flip the stromboli over so the seam side is down and keep it on the parchment paper to move it to the baking sheet.
  15. 15Brush the top with a tablespoon of melted butter.
  16. 16Sprinkle dried parsley and sesame seeds on top.
  17. 17Cut some slits in the top of the stromboli.
  18. 18Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 20 minutes.
  19. 19While the stromboli is in the oven, make some au jus sauce for dipping.
  20. 20Let the stromboli rest for at least 5 minutes before cutting into it.
