Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. 2Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. 3In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and cornstarch.
  4. 4Set aside the dry ingredients.
  5. 5In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter until light and fluffy.
  6. 6Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  7. 7Continue beating for 3-4 minutes until the batter turns pale in color and the sugar is well incorporated.
  8. 8Gradually mix in the dry ingredients (flour mixture) until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  9. 9Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  10. 10Scoop large size balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 4 inches of space between each cookie.
  11. 11Top the scooped dough with more chocolate chips and walnuts.
  12. 12Bake for 13-16 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  13. 13Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, slightly softened
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups roasted walnuts, chopped
