Directions
1
Get your skillet over medium heat and drop in 3 tablespoons of butter. Once that melts, drop in 3 tablespoons of flour.
2
Stir that together to make your roux. Once it starts to brown up, pour in two cups of chicken broth.
3
Keep stirring until it starts to thicken up and everything is incorporated. Then, throw in the seasonings.
4
Take a pound of chicken breasts and season on both sides with some salt, pepper and garlic.
5
Place the chicken into the gravy, using a spoon to get it all covered up.
6
Let it come to a simmer, then throw that lid on and lower the heat. Let it cook for 12-15 minutes.
7
Make some mashed potatoes.
8
Pull the lid off and shred the chicken using two forks.
9
Stir everything together.
10
Lay out a big pile of mashed potatoes and cover with the chicken and gravy.
