Award-Winning Chili

Directions

  1. 1Brown and drain 3 lbs of ground beef in a 12-quart pot.
  2. 2Add in 1 lb of Jimmy Dean Hot breakfast sausage and do not drain it.
  3. 3While the sausage is cooking, add in 6 oz of tomato paste and work it in to cook with the sausage.
  4. 4When the sausage is fully cooked, add in one large chopped onion, three chopped fresh jalapenos, and nine cloves of chopped garlic.
  5. 5Add 4 oz of hatch green chili.
  6. 6Add two tablespoons of flavor time southern seasoning and 3 oz of Williams original chili seasoning.
  7. 7Stir everything together and let it cook for a few minutes until the vegetables soften up.
  8. 8After about 5 minutes, add in 44 oz of diced tomatoes and 44 oz of tomato sauce.
  9. 9Stir everything together, place the lid on, and simmer on low for a minimum of 1 hour (or an hour and a half).
  10. 10Add in three cans of Bush's chili magic campfire style.
  11. 11Stir these in, put the lid back on, and let simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
  12. 12Finish with a splash of zippy sauce.
