Score the duck’s skin in a crosshatch pattern.

Make your marinade by adding all ingredients to a bowl, and whisk until smooth.

Place the duck breasts in a ziploc bag, and pour over the marinade.

Place in the refrigerator overnight.

Take the duck out, and pat dry with a paper towel. Pour the excess marinade into a bowl, and add the honey and hot water.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

To a cold pan add the duck breasts, skin-side down. Turn the heat to medium. Cook the duck for about 10 minutes.

Place on a wire rack, and place in the oven for 10 minutes. Brush with the marinade every 5 minutes.

Turn on the broiler, flip the duck breasts, and broil for about 3 minutes.

Take out, and let rest for 10 minutes.

Thinly slice the duck, and serve over rice.

0.25 C Brown Sugar
1 Big Pinch Salt
0.5 tsp MSG
0.5 tsp Five Spice Powder
0.25 tsp White Pepper
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 T Molasses
1 T Shaoxing Rice Wine
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 T Hoisin Sauce
1 T Oyster Sauce
2 T Honey
1 T Hot Water
0 Rice
