Easy Caprese Sandwiches

facebook.com
Serves 1

Directions

  1. 1Start with a sauce like a garlicky herby dip or pesto to prevent the sandwich from being dry, applying a nice healthy layer.
  2. 2Add a big heap of fresh arugula to each sandwich.
  3. 3Add a layer of your preferred tomato, such as heirloom tomatoes.
  4. 4Layer with fresh mozzarella.
  5. 5Add a nice thick layer of balsamic glaze.
  6. 6Place the ciabatta tops back on and wrap them up.

Ingredients

  • 1 layer garlicky herby dip
  • 1 heap fresh arugula
  • 1 heirloom tomato
  • 1 layer fresh mozzarella
  • 1 thick layer balsamic glaze

Tips

  • Layer the sandwich with arugula first to soak up tomato juice and prevent sogginess.
  • Consider adding protein like prosciutto or turkey for a non-vegetarian option.
