Directions

  1. 1Place the New York strip in ranch dressing, ensuring it's fully submerged.
  2. 2Refrigerate the steak for 24 hours to marinate.
  3. 3After 24 hours, remove the steak from the ranch dressing.
  4. 4Pat the steak dry with a paper towel.
  5. 5Preheat a cast iron pan to a medium temperature.
  6. 6Season one side of the steak with Primo Dan-O's seasoning (silver top) and then with Original Dan-O's seasoning (blue top).
  7. 7Pat the seasoning into the steak.
  8. 8Add a quarter stick of Kerrygold butter to the preheated pan.
  9. 9Add grapeseed oil to the pan with the butter.
  10. 10Place the steak, seasoned side down, into the pan.
  11. 11Season the other side of the steak with Primo Dan-O's seasoning and then with Original Dan-O's seasoning while it cooks.
  12. 12Flip the steak after approximately three minutes.
  13. 13Flip the steak again after another three minutes.
  14. 14Turn the heat down to low and continue simmering.
  15. 15Flip the steak after another two minutes.
  16. 16Check the internal temperature of the steak with a thermometer.
  17. 17Remove the steak from the pan and place it on a cutting board.
  18. 18Place small pieces of Kerrygold butter on top of the steak.
  19. 19Cover the steak tightly with aluminum foil.
  20. 20Let the steak rest for 20 minutes.
  21. 21Remove the foil after resting.
  22. 22Give the steak one last light sprinkle of Primo Dan-O's seasoning and Original Dan-O's seasoning.
  23. 23Cut the steak down the middle.
  24. 24Slice the steak into serving pieces.
  25. 25Taste the ranch-marinated steak.
