Directions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. 2Spread the hash browns in an even layer to coat the bottom of a pan.
  3. 3Add the chopped bacon evenly over the hash browns.
  4. 4Cover the bacon and hash browns generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. 5Whisk the eggs in a bowl.
  6. 6Season the eggs with barbecue seasoning.
  7. 7Pour the egg mixture evenly over the casserole.
  8. 8Bake in the oven until the eggs are set.
  9. 9Remove from the oven and let rest on the counter.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag hash browns
  • 1 lb bacon, chopped
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 whole eggs
  • barbecue seasoning (optional)

Equipment

panbowlwhiskoven

Tips

  • Fresh hash browns are better than frozen, though frozen can be used.
  • Using frozen hash browns may increase the cooking time up to an hour and a half.
  • You can use between 8 to 12 eggs depending on preference.
  • You can substitute bacon with bacon bits, though the creator uses leftover cooked bacon.
  • The creator recommends letting the dish rest for 6 to 7 minutes after baking before serving.
