Directions

  1. 1Combine chopped garlic, soy sauce, mirin, gochugaru, and gochujang to create the yangnyeom sauce.
  2. 2Layer the mung bean sprouts, sliced onion, king oyster mushrooms, spring onion, and thinly sliced beef in a pot.
  3. 3Top with enoki mushrooms, optional gaenip (perilla leaves), and sesame seeds.
  4. 4Cook the ingredients until the beef and vegetables are tender and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz mung bean sprout
  • 1 whole onion
  • 2 whole king oyster mushroom
  • 1 whole spring onion
  • 12 oz thinly sliced beef
  • a lot chopped garlic
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 3 tbsp gochugaru
  • 3 tbsp gochujang
  • enoki mushroom
  • gaenip (perilla leaves) (optional)
  • sesame seed
  • honey or sugar (optional)

Tips

  • The creator notes that you can add honey or sugar if you prefer a sweeter flavor, though they omitted it for health reasons.
  • Use mung bean sprouts (sook namul) specifically, rather than soy bean sprouts (Kong namul).
