Directions
- 1Drop a box of lemon cake mix into a mixing bowl.
- 2Add one whole egg to the mixing bowl.
- 3Add a stick of melted butter to the mixing bowl.
- 4Mix the ingredients with a hand mixer until combined into a dough-like consistency.
- 5Set the dough aside.
- 6Drop the dough into a baking dish.
- 7Spread the dough out evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
- 8Set the baking dish aside.
- 9Get another mixing bowl.
- 10Add one can of sweetened condensed milk to the new mixing bowl.
- 11Add half a cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice to the new mixing bowl.
- 12Whisk the sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice until beautifully combined.
- 13Pour the mixture into the baking dish on top of the dough.
- 14Spread the mixture out evenly.
- 15Throw the baking dish in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until it's set, about 25 to 30 minutes.
- 16Once the bars come out of the oven, optionally add a little bit of lemon zest to the top using a zester and a lemon.
- 17Optionally sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.
- 18Let the dessert cool off.
- 19Once cooled, cut the dessert into bars.
- 20Serve and enjoy.
