Directions

  1. 1Place softened unsalted butter into a mixing bowl.
  2. 2Add white sugar.
  3. 3Stir in lemon zest.
  4. 4Add all-purpose flour.
  5. 5Add baking powder.
  6. 6Mix until a soft cookie dough forms.
  7. 7Scoop 9 portions of dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. 8Gently flatten each portion.
  9. 9Bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
  10. 10Allow the cookies to cool slightly before serving.
