Brownies w/chocolate Icing

Directions

  1. 1In a large bowl, add 1 cup of sugar.
  2. 2Add 1/2 a cup of melted butter that you've cooled back down.
  3. 3Mix it up until combined.
  4. 4Next, add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder.
  5. 5Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla.
  6. 6Mix it up until combined.
  7. 7Add 2 whole eggs.
  8. 8Mix it up. You're only going to mix in a little bit until it's all combined.
  9. 9Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour.
  10. 10Mix it up until everything is fully combined.
  11. 11Pour brownie batter evenly into a lightly greased brownie pan and spread it evenly.
  12. 12Bake the brownies at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes. Check them at 20 minutes because everybody's oven is different.
  13. 13Remove the brownies from the oven and set them aside to cool.
  14. 14To make chocolate icing, add 2 tablespoons of softened butter to a bowl.
  15. 15Add 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla.
  16. 16Add 2 tablespoons of whole milk.
  17. 17Add a pinch of salt.
  18. 18Sift in 1 and a 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
  19. 19Mix it up until it's all smooth. Maybe use a bigger bowl.
  20. 20Pour the icing over the warm brownies.
  21. 21Evenly spread the icing out.
  22. 22Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them.
  23. 23Cut the brownies into squares.

Tips

  • You can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips, but plain regular brownies are also delicious.
  • When making the chocolate icing, don't worry about lumps of butter because you're going to put the icing on the brownies while it's still warm, and the butter will just kind of melt down.
