Blueberry Glazed Donuts

Directions

  1. 1Use a round cookie cutter to cut out the donut shapes from the rolled dough.
  2. 2Use a smaller round cutter to create the donut holes in the center of each donut.
  3. 3Carefully transfer the cut donuts to individual pieces of parchment paper.
  4. 4Collect fresh blueberries.
  5. 5Place blueberries in a food processor.
  6. 6Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the blueberries in the food processor.
  7. 7Blend the blueberries and lemon juice into a smooth puree.
  8. 8Pour the blueberry puree into a bowl with powdered sugar.
  9. 9Whisk the powdered sugar and blueberry puree together until a smooth glaze is formed.
  10. 10Pour cooking oil into a pan.
  11. 11Heat the oil to 350°F and carefully place the donuts into the hot oil.
  12. 12Fry the donuts until they are golden brown on one side.
  13. 13Flip the donuts to fry the other side until golden brown.
  14. 14Remove the golden brown donuts from the oil, allowing excess oil to drip off.
  15. 15Dip each fried donut into the blueberry glaze, ensuring it is fully coated.
  16. 16Place the glazed donuts on a cooling rack to allow excess glaze to drip off and the glaze to set.
  17. 17Once set, the blueberry glazed donuts are ready to be enjoyed.
